SWEPPP, Enhancing Sustainable Well-being Education in Europe and beyond
18.12.2025
SWEPPP is based on the idea that achieving sustainable well-being requires a holistic approach, aligning personal, professional, and planetary welfare. It aims to foster wellness across these three dimensions by empowering individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to enact meaningful action.
Sustainable Wellbeing - Education for Professional, Personal and Planetary aka SWEPPP project aims to enhance knowledge and expand educational offerings in the field of sustainable well-being, while creating opportunities to foster sustainable well-being across various sectors of society at the European Union level. It is funded by Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships, and has four main and one associate partner from Europe.
The Specific Objectives of SWEPPP include identifying key topics related to sustainable well-being and integrating its core elements into higher education study programs. We also aim at increasing students’ understanding of the barriers and pathways to sustainable well-being in both leisure and working life through engaging and stimulating learning methods. This means creating inclusive and easily accessible opportunities to improve sustainable well-being for individuals across different sectors, regardless of barriers such as geographical distance or limited access to education.
A special feature of SWEPPP is its BLOG, a thought-provoking hub blending individual wellness, workplace vitality, and environmental harmony. It is perfect for anyone seeking practical inspiration to live sustainably, think expansively, and act purposefully. The latest blog post is by Turku UAS and discusses "Planet-friendly Christmas: Rethinking holiday shopping for a sustainable future" , the post also gives you practical tips for environmentally sustainable Christmas.
